When the system gave him a 0% chance of surviving past 21, Kionne L. McGhee wrote a different ending — in a courtroom, in a legislature, and in the lives of every client who trusts him.

Born and raised in the Naranja Housing Projects of South Miami, Attorney McGhee was labeled "emotionally handicapped" at age 6, with a 78 IQ and a 1.9 GPA. The system had already written its verdict. He objected. Through relentless determination, he earned a B.S. in Political Science from Howard University and a Juris Doctorate from the prestigious Thurgood Marshall School of Law.

He launched his career as an Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County — fighting for victims and mastering the mechanics of the justice system from the inside. He then transformed that legal acumen into legislative power, rising to become Florida House Minority Leader and later Vice Chairman of the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners. Today, from Penthouse 5 at 848 Brickell Avenue, he brings every dimension of that extraordinary career to bear for his clients.
